Terms & Conditions
Object of Insurance (Eligibility Requirements)
Any person who is a registered and active Angkas Rider/Passenger, in good health, considered active at work, and capable of performing all activities of daily living on the date of enrollment, shall be eligible for insurance coverage between the ages of 18 and 65 years old.
Period Of Insurance
Coverage applies to each ride booked on the Angkas app, from driver acceptance through passenger pick-up to drop-off.
Exclusions:
Not wearing a protected crash helmet approved by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), when riding a motorcycle whether as a rider or back rider of a motorcycle, as per Republic Act 10054, otherwise known as the Motorcycle Helmet Act of 2009.
Insured under the influence of alcohol or drugs unless it is proven that the drug was taken in accordance with proper medical prescription and not for the treatment of drug addiction.
The following are excluded from CAX Insurance coverage:
Pre-Existing Conditions
Any known events or conditions that appeared within 2 years before your insurance started
Medical Expenses NOT Covered
Expenses related to private hospital accommodations or special services, including:
Single or private room at hospital
Special or private nursing
Wheelchair, crutch, or any other similar equipment
Cosmetic or corrective procedures and equipment, including:
Cosmetic surgery
Apparatus to correct visual acuity or refractive error
Contact lenses, glasses, or hearing aids
Prosthesis, and other medical equipment, appliances, and accessories (unless otherwise specified in the Schedule of Benefits)
Take-home medicines and related services, including:
Ambulance service
Pregnancy test
Medical-legal fees
All types of vaccines, except for animal bites and tetanus vaccine for cuts
Procurement or use of convalescence, custodial, or rest cure, or any special nursing care.
Dental work or dental treatment, unless otherwise specified in the Schedule of Benefits.
Treatments or services without physician recommendation or referral, including:
Routine physical examinations
Health check-ups not incidental to the treatment or diagnosis of a covered injury occurring during the Insurance Period
Chinese medicine treatment, other than bone-setting and acupuncture.
Follow-up medical treatment that includes Hospital Confinement.
Follow-up medical expenses incurred after ninety (90) calendar days from the date of the accident.
Treatment or Hospital Confinement of optional or non-medically necessary nature as determined by a medical practitioner, including but not limited to:
Rest cures
Periodic checkups
Cosmetic or plastic surgery
Eye examinations (except as a result of injuries)
Mental or nervous disorders
Drug addiction or alcoholism
